BYREDO

My top 3 Byredo Fragrances:

Flowerhead is, as my friend describes it, that perfect scent of cleanliness after a shower and brushing your teeth. Essentially a clean floral fragrance with a subtle minty freshness to it.

Bal D'Afrique is my all time fave. It's subtly woody without being a heavy perfume. It's ever so slightly floral and warms to the skin beautifully. It's basically heaven in a bottle.

Black Saffron is the heaviest of the three. It reminds me of a woman wearing a deep floral perfume standing next to a bonfire. Bazaar, I know, buuuut it's perfect for a night out and has an almost provocative feel to it.

Where to start? When I discovered Byredo perfumes, I never looked back.

After working with fragrance for a few years, I quickly realised that I was beginning to crave unfamiliar scents. I consider myself to have a pretty good sense of smell and I'm particularly good at remembering scents. I'm that person that walks behind people trying to figure out which perfume they are wearing.

Soon enough, I felt that I was familiar with majority of the run of the mill perfumes (basically anything you can buy in duty free).

Then, I discovered Byredo. Ohhhhh my goodness, I fell in love with basically the entire range. Byredo cover all areas of fragrance (from light florals to heavy tobacco's) but specifically nail the woody scents.

If you want to have a signature scent that not every Tom, Dick and Harry has, you should check the range out.
